Yarok Hair Serum

From the August Petit Vour Beauty Box

I have a 3-step hair care process after I wash my hair.  I use a BB cream to prevent frizzing, a sea salt spray to help my curls along, and an oil to make it shine.  The last step is perhaps futile, but I keep hoping. I’ve been testing the hair serum for a few months in step 3.  Just to clarify, this is the Feed Your Shine serum.  Apparently, Yarok has other hair serums, which sort of blows my mind since I’m still trying to figure out what exactly hair serum does.

Maybe there should have been a spoiler alert there.  I’m not saying that it’s useless.  It appears to do what the oil I used to use in step 3 does.  In fact, it does it without being particularly oily, like the, well, oil.  The hair serum does have an odd smell, which I could never quite put my finger on.  The scent seemed to dissipate seconds after applying, so I never spent a lot of time trying to figure it out.  It’s a nice serum, but the oil I use which appears to produce the same results is a fraction of the price.

A note about the brand:  Yarok is cruelty free and vegan.
