MSC hypes the “raw sugar exfoliates and removes dead skin cells, while a combination of shea butter, sunflower oil and rice bran oil nourish fresh skin”. This exfoliated well, without being so harsh that it scratched my skin. I enjoyed the mix of oils and butter; my skin didn’t feel dry after exfoliating the way some scrubs would.
The scrub has a noticeable grapefruit and spearmint scent. It’s an interesting combination (and also seems to be a popular combination lately). It was invigorating without being too fruity or too toothpaste-y. If grapefruit and spearmint isn’t your thing, there are 3 other scents. It’s a little pricy for a body scrub that doesn’t double as a face scrub, but the ingredients are nice enough that it might be worth the reach.
A note about the brand: MSC Skin Care + Home is vegan and cruelty free.
