Andalou Naturals hypes this “speeds healing as willow bark extract clarifies and minimizes pores, curbs bacteria and absorbs excess oil”. This is spot on. Willow bark is the hot thing in acne treatment right now, and my first experience with it has put me on the bandwagon! My blemishes have been healing noticeably faster, within days instead of weeks. My pores have been noticeably smaller and less clogged. My face has also been noticeably less oily than usual.
The Pure Pore Serum also has salicylic acid, the standby of acne treatment. Andalou Naturals hypes its use in the serum “helps fade post-blemish pigmentation”. This is the main reason I tried the serum in the first place. I have a significant amount of post-blemish pigmentation due to the acne siege, and had high hopes. I’ve been using this for close to two months, and there’s been some fading, but not as much as I’d hoped for.
This also has aloe vera, which is hyped to “oxygenate, hydrate, and soothe inflammation for even tone and clear, healthy skin”. The aloe vera has definitely lived up to the hype. My skin has felt more hydrated, has a more even tone and looks much healthier. Pure Pore Serum also feels great on my skin. This is going into the permanent collection, and I definitely recommend you check this out!
